Ten years ago an Ayden dream became reality...the Ayden Historical and Arts Society was created. "Arts" was a key component of the developing organization. Encouraging and displaying the creative works of Ayden's citizens was part of the long range plan.
Two years ;ater, when the Town of Ayden provided a building for a museum, one of the first decisions was the selection of one of the larger spaces to designate as The Art Gallery.
Paintings, photographs, ceramics, stained glass, needle work, etc., have been exhibited on a rotating basis. Select artists have a given day to demonstrate and/or explain their unique talents and techniques. The permanent collection is also growing and on display on the museum's Conference Room.
